PUSH LEFT -
I can't push the left
Push RIGHT
I can't push the RIGHT
PUSH TOP
I can't push the TOP
PUSH MIDDLE
I can't push the MIDDLE
PUSH BOTTOM
I can't push the BOTTOM
PULL LEVER

GLOOMY ROOM
-------------------------
You are at the center of a hemisphere of yellow light about twelve feet in diameter beyond whose edge is a dense and impenetrable gloom. Shadows from your lamp dance eerily on the stony ground around you, lending a sinister and subtly threatening atmosphere to this location.
n.
AT ROCKY FACE
----------------------
You are standing at a rock face which lies to your north and in which there is inset a small door. To the south the lamplight soon dissipates revealing only a dense and impenetrable gloom.
>open door.
OPENED
n.
NARROW PASSAGE
----------------------
You are in a narrow passage which leads off to the north, curving gradually to the east. Just behind you, inset into the south wall, lies a small door. Just to the north, but out of sight of your present position, you hear the sounds of a scuffle. Curses in the Orc tongue reach your ears. You wonder if you should investigate further.
n.
TWISTING CORRIDOR
-----------------------------
This corridor winds and twists in two directions - south to the small door through which you but recently passed, and eastwards into repelling gloom.
As you round the corner you see a pathetic sight. A large band of orcs has a single gobliiin pinned against a wall and are attacking him mercilessly. As you watch, he seems at first to be holding his own, but suddenly one of his aggressors steps in and delivers as obviously a fatal blow. You involuntarily let out a gasp whereupon the orcs, like the cowards they are, flee down the corridor (into the opening to the east). You quickly go over to the creature and cradle his dying head in your lap. He turns towards you with a faint smile, and struggles to speak. His words are very faint, but putting your ear to his lips you hear him say:
"I thank you, Michael, for your kind intervention, but it came to late for poor Freebo. Long have I sought the golden fleece and oft-times almost had it in my grasp, but now this will never be. One clue have I heard which seems to surpass all others in importance, although of its meaning I remain uncertain. It reads as follows - "Should you choose to ascend from below, then left is right and right is left."
With these words, your friend's head slumps to one side and you are left alone.
Beside you there lies a dead goblin.
